Brian S. Bartley, the managing partner of Chartwell Law’s Fort Myers Workers’ Compensation Department, represents clients throughout Southwest Florida in workers’ compensation and insurance defense matters. Brian has over 25 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense and is rated AV-Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®, which indicates a demonstration of the highest professional and ethical standards and is the highest rating a lawyer can receive.

Brian S. Brian provides early case assessment to each client, guiding them through their case, whether it settles or goes to litigation. If his client does proceed to court proceedings, Brian has vast experience defending insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators before various judges of compensation claims. Brian is proficient in conducting depositions of witnesses, physicians, and vocational experts, as well as motion hearings, mediations, and final hearings. He also has a deep familiarity with conducting investigations as needed.

Brian is extremely dedicated to his clients, often going in-house and presenting on a variety of educational topics to help them minimize risk and exposure. He also speaks nationally at various continuing legal education presentations and other industry conferences. Some of the topics he has presented on include:

While in law school, Brian was an editor for the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and competed nationally as a member of the school’s Mock Trial Team. After graduation from college, he served as National Chairman of a non-partisan student political organization and was listed in Who’s Who in American Politics.
