Joseph J. Hamill, Jr. is a Partner in Chartwell's Philadelphia office, who focuses his practices on commercial and employment litigation and aviation law. His background includes complex and multidistrict litigation, construction litigation and products liability. He has assisted growing companies on various risk management and employment issues. In addition, he serves as a settlement master in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hamill was with the law firm of Spector, Gadon & Rosen, P.C.

Joe has written articles regarding the repercussions of improper destruction of evidence and the selection of expert witnesses. He has also been interviewed regarding various aviation matters and also served as counsel for British Airways in the seminal case involving air rage. His airline clients include British Airways, Federal Express, KLM, Northwest, Olympic Airways, Singapore Airlines and South African Airways, and he has related experience with multi-district litigation on behalf of his aviation clients.

Mr. Hamill is admitted to the bars in Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts. He is a 1986 graduate of Northwestern University (B.A.) and a 1989 graduate of Boston University School of Law (J.D.).
