7+ Figure Property Subrogation Settlement

Danielle Sullivan Kaminski, a partner in Chartwell’s New York office, recently settled a property subrogation matter involving massive flooding of a New York City building caused by an HVAC vendor’s negligence and exacerbated by a security company’s failure to timely discover the flooding. The case settled after two mediations for 7+ figures. This settlement was achieved despite a waiver of subrogation provision in the Insured’s contract with the security company.
