Goldstein has been selected to address the 26th SEAK Annual National Workers’ Compensation and Occupational Medicine Conference to be held July 17, 18-20, 2006 in Hyannisport, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Mr. Goldstein will present his recently completed paper “Defending Cardiovascular Industrial Claims: Heart Attacks, Strokes, Heart Disease and High Blood Pressure”. In doing so, he will address the most frequently encountered types of cardiovascular disease claims. He will explain the usural theiors of causation, tpical and no-so-typical defenses to such claims and the obstacles that employers face in defending cardiac claims and will spend considerable time explaining how to challenge speculative medical theories of causation.
