Thomas Strohmetz addresses Philadelphia Bar Association Workers Compensation Section with Judge David B. Torrey

Thomas Strohmetz and Judge David B. Torrey of Allegheny County, co-author of the well-known, four-volume treatise, “Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law and Practice” (Thomson-West Publishing) addressed the Philadelphia Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section on June 15, 2005 in the ARAMARK Tower in Philadelphia. Judge Torrey and Mr. Strohmetz will address the emerging case law trends that they have observed while preparing the most recent update to their text and how those trends have affected everyday workers’ compensation practice. Of particular interest will be their review of recent case law addressing the viability of a Compromise and Release Agreement following its approval by a workers’ compensation judge.
