Insurance Defense

One major focus of the Firm's practice has been and continues to be insurance defense. We have represented various insurers on behalf of both large and small insurance carriers in virtually all fields including A&E defense, Directors and Officers liability, pension plans, ERISA and products liability. Our team of experienced litigators have represented insurers at all levels of court proceedings including appeals and have extensive experience in both court mandated and private mediation and arbitration. We have successfully tried many insurance defense cases before juries in various courts where the potential exposure was great and the result achieved significantly exceeded the clients' expectations. We have represented insurers on behalf of carriers throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

As a natural extension of our surety defense work, our attorneys also have extensive experience in defending bad faith claims brought against our surety clients in New Jersey, Virginia and Pennsylvania. In this connection, the Firm has sponsored seminars for our insurance and surety clients on the subject of bad faith and have prepared a comprehensive fifty state survey of all bad faith statutes and common law for use by our clients in connection with the seminar program. We routinely prepare and sponsor complementary seminars on various other subjects relating to insurance and surety issues to better serve our insurance carrier and surety clients.
