Alex Rives is an associate in Chartwell Law’s Peoria office. She dedicates her practice to the defense of clients in the trucking and transportation industries and in the areas of general liability and casualty defense. Whether in the courtroom or on scene following a major accident, Alex’s empathy, passion and legal abilities combine to make her an effective and skilled litigator who surpasses her clients’ needs.
Before joining Chartwell Law, Alex began her legal career as an associate in the Peoria office of a regional law firm where she gained extensive experience in civil defense litigation. During law school, she interned as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Sue. E. Myerscough of the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and participated in guardian ad litem representation of child abuse and neglect victims through her law school’s legal clinic. Alex also competed in national moot court competitions and was selected as a national member of The Order of Barristers for her excellence in brief writing and courtroom advocacy.
