Amanda Mitteer Bartley focuses her practice on civil litigation, and primarily workers’ compensation litigation defense, on behalf of insurance companies and employers. Ms. Bartley has also secured clients in need of general liability defense and represented numerous carriers and employers in the representation of all areas of workers’ compensation. Ms. Bartley helps her clients by working closely with them to achieve positive outcomes. Her legal strategies include an emphasis on proactive client communication, settlement of cases quickly and cost-effectively, attention to detail, and extensive research on the legal matters at hand.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bartley worked for a prominent claimant’s attorney, which helped her understand both sides of workers’ compensation and gave her insightful knowledge as to how and why a claimant’s attorney chooses to act. She also interned for Senator James Jeffords in Vermont, as well as for a large and prominent law firm in Boston where she worked with retired Massachusetts judges who arbitrated and mediated numerous cases. From her internship experiences, Ms. Bartley gained relevant and useful negation tools that would later help her in her legal career.

While in college, Ms. Bartley was in the elite National Honor Society Kappa Delta Pi, volunteered through Alpha Phi Omega, and worked as a biological researcher for the Smithsonian Institute. While in law school, Ms. Bartley interned for the United States Department of Education and the Office for Civil Rights, along with working as a tutor for legal research and writing. She also served as a New Hampshire Merrimack County Courthouse Mediator.

An avid philanthropist, Ms. Bartley has helped to raise over $140,000 for many local charities, including Voices for Kids Guardian Ad Litem Program, PACE, and Alliance for the Arts. She is extremely active within her legal community and has volunteered for several national associations and organizations, including the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, the National Breast Cancer Coalition, the Miss America Organization and the Miss Universe Organization. Ms. Bartley is also a former foster parent through the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida.
