Andrew B. Klaber, the managing partner at Chartwell Law’s Pittsburgh office, assists employers facing unique exposures in the maritime industries. A large portion of his practice revolves around administrative statutes such as Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation, Black Lung, and Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Mr. Klaber represents numerous mid-sized corporations in the role of general counsel, providing guidance on employment issues, acquisition strategies, financing alternatives and risk management. Most recently, he has assisted gasoline retailers in employment, workers’ compensation and contract matters. Through his hands-on experience launching new business ventures, Mr. Klaber has acquired significant practical experience in dealing with the issues facing organizations at the beginning of significant growth phases.

Mr. Klaber began his career in the Philadelphia office of a Mid-Atlantic regional law firm, where he concentrated his practice in the representation of employers on a wide range of litigation matters. In 1991, he became a founding member of the Philadelphia firm, Weber Goldstein Greenberg & Gallagher, LLP. Mr. Klaber then returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh to establish the Pittsburgh office of Chartwell Law. 

 Mr. Klaber left private practice in 2000 and accepted a position of vice president and general counsel for a CRM technology firm serving Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States. 

 Mr. Klaber has frequently served as lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and national organizations dedicated to the study of business representation.
