Andrew D. Craven focuses his practice on maritime matters including the defense of crew and passenger claims, limitation of liability actions, cargo claims and salvage claims. He is board-certified in admiralty and maritime law by the Florida Bar and his experience includes trial and appeal litigation.
Andrew has extensive experience working with London and domestic marine insurers, providing his clients an advantage as a result of his thorough understanding of the nuances in marine insurance practice and policy. In addition to assisting clients in maritime personal injury and wrongful death claims that involve complex matters, involving multiple plaintiffs or catastrophic injuries, Andrew also frequently defends claims brought by crew members, maritime workers, or personal representatives pursuant to the Jones Act, General Maritime Law, Death on the High Seas Act, and the Longshoremen and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.
Andrew has been published and has presented on various topics including crew claims in the United States, cruise line personal injury law, legal ramifications of the gulf oil spill, and risk shifting agreements in maritime contracts.
