Bernard Kelly represents employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He also assists clients in subrogation matters, specifically lien recovery. In addition to workers’ compensation defense, Mr. Kelly has represented defendants in civil litigation matters.

Mr. Kelly provides value to his clients by analyzing early litigation claims for prompt resolution through litigation or settlement. He has successfully prosecuted workers’ compensation petitions seeking termination and suspension of benefits saving clients significant cost.

Mr. Kelly began his legal career working as a prosecutor in the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh. After working as an assistant district attorney Mr. Kelly joined the staff counsel office of a major insurance carrier, where he served as managing attorney overseeing their legal staff. He has been representing employers and major insurance carriers for more than 25 years.

A proponent of helping his clients prevent law suits, Mr. Kelly has presented numerous legal lectures and case law updates to insurance carriers and employers regarding workers compensation issues.
