Carol Crisci is a partner in Chartwell’s Valley Forge Office. She is a graduate of Chestnut Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She earned her law degree from Widener University School of Law and is a member of the honors chapter of the legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi.

For the first several years of her legal practice, Ms. Crisci worked for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, as a law clerk to the late Vincent J. Cirillo, P.J.E. and then President Judge Stephen McEwen, as well as the Central Legal Staff. Ms. Crisci has over 20 years experience in appellate practice on a variety of legal issues in civil cases, providing a fresh review and objective analysis as to whether a case may need to progress past the trial level.

Prior to entering the legal profession, she worked for 16 years at McNeil Consumer Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson, both as a chemist and in the finance department. As a chemist, she was involved in the testing of all recalled product and worked the hotlines for customer calls during both Tylenol poisoning crises.  In the finance department, she designed and implemented a paperless expense reporting and company wide corporate credit card program.

With a background in pharmaceutical chemistry, Ms. Crisci has been able to evaluate Medicare Set-Asides, reduce the prescription costs in some instances, and save her clients tens of thousands of dollars. This had enabled certain cases to settle which never would have settled at the higher pricing.

At Chartwell, Ms. Crisci concentrates primarily on representing local and nationally known employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation. She has extensive experience at the trial level, as well as arguing before the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, and handling appeals before the appellate courts of this Commonwealth, including the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Crisci is active in the Montgomery County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations' appellate practice and workers’ compensation committees and/or sections. Ms. Crisci has been a faculty member for continuing legal education courses in workers' compensation and for appellate practitioners. She sits as an arbitrator on a variety of civil cases for the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.

Ms. Crisci has been a professional singer and remains an avid golfer. She has participated in pro-am events and worked as a volunteer at tournaments.
