Daniel M. Herrera is an insurance coverage defense attorney representing insurance carriers throughout Florida.

Daniel's practice focuses on first-party property handling various hazard claims involving plumbing and broken pipes, slab leaks as well as weather-related events including windstorms, tropical storms and hurricane losses, most notably those associated with Hurricane Irma. Daniel is also experienced working on subrogation matters involving property damage within the construction industry.

In addition to insurance defense, Daniel handles various real estate matters such as foreclosure and business litigation disputes including partition actions, quiet title actions, and breach of contract actions. He has also handled business formation matters establishing corporations and limited liability companies.

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Daniel practiced first-party property coverage for a defense firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While in law school, Daniel earned multiple scholarships while serving as the president of the Association of Business Law Students and interned for the Honorable Stephen P. Deluca of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, in Fort Lauderdale.
