Dorie Ortiz focuses her practice on general liability defense and insurance defense concentrating primarily in construction defect litigation.
Dorie is also experienced in handling commercial and business litigation ranging from routine matters to highly complex litigation such as partnership/shareholder disputes, breach of contract cases, commercial eviction matters, real estate litigation, construction litigation, first party property claims, foreclosure, legal malpractice, immigration and compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Dorie was an attorney at a Fort Lauderdale, Florida litigation firm where she handled insurance defense and commercial litigation. Prior to that, she worked out of Jacksonville, Florida, for various large foreclosure firms throughout the state, handling foreclosure matters for large financial institutions. Prior to her foreclosure work, she owned her own boutique practice for seven years where she provided immigration and compliance work for individuals and large construction companies. In addition to practicing law, Dorie holds a real estate license in Florida.
