With an emphasis on first-party property claims, Eliot has successfully litigated numerous matters including coverage and bad faith claims resulting from various hazards including windstorms, mold, theft and water losses. Eliot is experienced handling claims at all stages of litigation from initial complaint through to trial if necessary, handling responses to civil remedy notices of insurer violations, coverage evaluations and declaratory judgments.  

Prior to his defense work, Eliot represented plaintiffs in numerous first-party claims, as well as thousands of personal injury protection (PIP) and personal injury claims. This places him in a unique position to evaluate and craft his first-party property defense strategy, as he works to resolve claims swiftly and completely on behalf of his clients, while keeping an eye toward cost-effective results.

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Eliot practiced first-party property defense for a firm in Boca Raton, Florida.  While in law school, Eliot interned at the Office of the Public Defender in Broward County as well as with the Office of the State Attorney, 17th Judicial District in Fort Lauderdale.
