Hien Pham has litigation experience handling all aspects of pretrial practice, including extensive motion practice and all stages of discovery, and trial preparation in state and federal courts.

Currently, Ms. Pham focuses her practice on insurance coverage matters involving the multidistrict and state litigation arising from the national opioid crisis.  She is experienced with insurance defense litigation involving bad faith claims in personal injury cases.  

Before joining Chartwell Law, she practiced plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation at a Philadelphia law firm involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, bad faith claims, workers’ compensation, and catastrophic injuries, as well as breach of contract and real property disputes.  

During law school, Ms. Pham was a legal intern at Prudential Financial, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey.  She also worked pro bono for a nonprofit legal services agency where she handled numerous appeals before Administrative Law Judges for clients who were denied Supplemental Security Income and/or Social Security disability insurance benefits.  She worked on litigated child welfare cases in the law school’s Child Advocacy Clinic.  Before law school, she assisted Vice Presidents and Assistant General Counsel at O’Neill Properties Group, L.P. who handled construction and zoning, land use, and land development.

A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Ms. Pham volunteers her time as a community advocate on quality of life issues in the community.
