Jason Hanford focuses his practice on workers’ compensation, general litigation, government contract claims, and employment and labor law.

Mr. Hanford has experience representing self-insured employers, insurance companies, hospitals, employers of healthcare workers, and governmental and quasi-governmental agencies in workers’ compensation and employment law matters. In addition, Mr. Hanford focuses a portion of his practice on representing insurance carriers and employers in Fee Review Disputes, both before Fee Review Hearing Officers and on appeal. He is also a member of the firm’s Medicare Set-Aside team. Recently, Mr. Hanford has focused on emerging medical trends in Pennsylvania workers’ compensation claims, including opioids, compounded pain creams and medical marijuana.

Mr. Hanford helps his clients by setting expectations and avoiding surprises whenever possible. He also believes that the best way to help his clients is to work together with them in order to achieve the best possible outcomes. All lawyers strive to be creative and aggressive, but clients must also be included in finding the appropriate and effective approach for their particular cases. Mr. Hanford has recovered over $1 million for Pennsylvania workers’ compensation clients from the Pennsylvania Supersedeas Fund over the past three years.

Mr. Hanford is a frequent lecturer on the topic of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation, having spoken before groups throughout Pennsylvania, as well as at the National Workers’ Compensation Conference in Las Vegas. In 2012, Mr. Hanford was appointed as the co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association and is still presently serving in that position.

While in law school, Mr. Hanford participated in an award winning trial advocacy program, earning a commendation for "Outstanding Oral Advocacy.” He also served as a staff member and editor of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review.
