Leslie M. Whitten focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, cybersecurity and information privacy. She represents large self-insured companies, insurance carriers, businesses and government entities operating in South Carolina. Her clients span across industries that include retail, hospitality, education, health care and finance.

Leslie M. Whitten focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, cybersecurity and information privacy. She represents large self-insured companies, insurance carriers, businesses and government entities operating in South Carolina. Her clients span across industries that include retail, hospitality, education, health care and finance.

In the area of workers’ compensation, Leslie has considerable experience in handling cases involving repetitive trauma claims and mental injuries. Leslie handles workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, including investigation, depositions and appeals as necessary. If a claim does not proceed to court, she has the experience to negotiate beneficial settlements for her clients.

Leslie, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), counsels clients on information privacy and cybersecurity, including incident investigation and breach response management, regulatory compliance, privacy and security policy review and drafting, and cyber risk management. She earned her CIPP/US through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Leslie speaks to various groups and organizations frequently on the topic of information privacy and cybersecurity.

Leslie received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent® Judicial Edition, which is the highest rating an attorney can receive from their peers for both her legal ability and ethical standards.
