Michael Sherman has represented employers, insurance companies and government agencies in workers’ compensation matters for more than 30 years. He provides added value to his clients by creating a business-partner relationship between the firm and his client’s business. He visits employers’ sites to learn their processes and procedures and prioritizes participating in their professional organizations. He wants to understand the nuances of each organization he works with to best represent them.

Mr. Sherman counsels and advises his clients on a variety of topics, including chemical exposures, subrogation recovery, psychological disability, and employment issues.  His clients include businesses within manufacturing, transportation, employment staffing and government agencies.

Mr. Sherman has been consistently recognized by his peers, to merit the highest rating, AV-Preeminent®, with Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review™, since 2005.  He has been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® list, as featured in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Maganize, for his efforts in workers’ compensation defense.  Mr. Sherman was also selected as an Advisory Board Member to the Lexis-Nexis Larson’s National Workers’ Compensation Law Center annually since 2008. In addition, in May 2014, Mr. Sherman was certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Mr. Sherman is a frequent speaker at client in-house training sessions. He has presented continuing legal education seminars with Lorman Education Services for over three decades, including their “PA Work Comp Update” and “Resolving the PA Work Comp Case.” He participated in the panel presentation, “2012 Medicare: What's Next?” at the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Annual Conference.  He was also selected as the moderator and speaker for the 2013 National Workers’ Compensation Disability Conference presentation of “Occupational Exposures and Sensitivity in the Workplace.”

Mr. Sherman is also a respected blog author in his field. In 2012, he began writing a workers’ compensation-centric “blog,” specifically to provide a case law review for employers and insurers. His blog, PA Work Comp Defense, was named a “Top Blog” in 2013 by Lexis-Nexis.
