Misha Iokheles focuses his practice in workers’ compensation matters. He has extensive experience litigating everything from the standard slip-and-fall accident claims to complex coverage disputes and occupational diseases.

Mr. Iokheles has handled cases across a variety of industries, including construction, healthcare, hospitality, retail, and transportation. Known for his attention to detail and zealous advocacy, Mr. Iokheles works closely with carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds to help them contain costs and reduce their exposure by advising them on best claim-handling practices and defensive strategies.

Having started his career in the insurance industry, he understands first-hand the internal operations and issues that might challenge his clients. Mr. Iokheles has previously worked for a carrier and a claimants’ firm, so he possesses a deep understanding of both his clients and their opposition.

Mr. Iokheles began his career as an underwriter for a prominent carrier, where he specialized in directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, crime, and kidnap and ransom coverages. He then transitioned to an up-and-coming brokerage, where he served a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations in fulfilling their insurance needs. His diverse experience in commercial insurance includes property, workers’ compensation, general liability, errors and omissions, cyber, products liability, and management liability.

He obtained a B.C.L./LL.B. after graduating with distinction from the Faculty of Law, where Mr. Iokheles completed some of his coursework in French. He also spent a semester in Australia at Melbourne Law School and studied Talmudic Law in Israel at Machon Yaakov.

Mr. Iokheles is passionate about giving back to his community. He sits on the young leadership board of JOIN Israel, a nonprofit that provides child and family services to underprivileged Israelis. Mr. Iokheles has also previously sat on the young leadership boards of American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and Combined Jewish Philanthropies. He has volunteered in the mentorship program at RAJE (Russian American Jewish Experience) and continues to serve as a mentor to young adults in his community.
