Misha Iokheles focuses his practice in workers’ compensation matters. Having started his career in the insurance industry, he understands first-hand the internal operations and issues that might challenge his clients. Mr. Iokheles has worked for a carrier and a claimants’ firm, so he possesses a deep understanding of both his clients and their opposition.

Mr. Iokheles began his career as an underwriter for a prominent carrier, where he specialized in directors and officers, employment practices, fiduciary, crime, and kidnap and ransom coverages. He then transitioned to an up-and-coming brokerage, where he served a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations in fulfilling their insurance needs. His diverse experience in commercial insurance includes property, workers’ compensation, general liability, errors and omissions, cyber, products liability, and management liability. Recognized for his expertise, Mr. Iokheles has been invited to teach attorneys and entrepreneurs about these coverages. He has even written about insurance for a popular startup blog.

While in law school, Mr. Iokheles served as a research assistant for a law professor, with whom he collaborated in publishing, “Factual Causation and Healthcare-Associated Infections,” in the Health Law Journal. Mr. Iokheles also competed in the Wilson Moot Court, represented students in disciplinary and grievance proceedings as an advocate in the Student Advocacy Program, and volunteered at the Legal Information Clinic to provide legal information to the public.

He obtained a B.C.L./LL.B. after graduating with distinction from the Faculty of Law, where Mr. Iokheles completed some of his coursework in French. He also spent a semester in Australia at Melbourne Law School and studied Talmudic Law in Israel at Machon Yaakov.

Mr. Iokheles is passionate about giving back to his community. He sits on the young leadership board of JOIN Israel, which provides child and family services to underprivileged Israelis. Mr. Iokheles has also previously sat on the young leadership boards of American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, and Combined Jewish Philanthropies. He has volunteered in the mentor program at RAJE (Russian American Jewish Experience) and continues to serve as a mentor to young adults in his community.
