Victoria N. Godwin-Reese focuses her practice in the area of civil defense. Victoria has successfully defended national companies against claims of injury resulting from product defects, and local licensed professionals such as physicians, nurses, home inspectors, engineers, architects, and general contractors against claims of professional negligence. Victoria has also been retained to provide legal advice as to compliance with government regulations and responding to requests from the FDA and EEOC.

Victoria is committed to obtaining the best possible results for her clients, whether that means settling a minor claim early in litigation to save the client’s time and expense or defending claims through the appellate process. Over the years, Victoria has saved her clients millions by creative and effective litigation practices.

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Victoria was an associate at a mid-size firm in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where she handled cases concerning product liability, professional negligence, premises liability, construction defect, and breach of contract. She has also served as in-house counsel for an international pharmaceutical and dietary supplement company (based out of Florida) handing both administrative and litigation matters, including appellate work, here in the United States. In addition to her traditional legal and litigation work, Victoria has also been employed as an adjunct professor teaching “Legal Aspects of Sport” at the University of Miami, where she taught and addressed all the legal considerations in the field of sport from event and building safety and management, to contracts, intellectual property, litigation, and everything in between.
