Michael J. Alivernini is a Partner in Chartwell’s Philadelphia office. He is a graduate of Villanova University and Widener University School of Law. Mr. Alivernini is admitted to the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and District of Columbia Bars, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Mr. Alivernini is co-author of an article entitled: Do Pennsylvania Lawyers Have an Ethical Duty to Advise Clients about ADR?
Mr. Alivernini has represented the firm's clients in a number of large loss property subrogation matters in which he has negotiated substantial recoveries and participated in numerous jury trials in securing favorable jury verdicts. Mr. Alivernini practices in the areas of subrogation/recovery, surety and fidelity litigation, property and general liability defense, and first party property insurance coverage. He has handled losses ranging from roof collapse, fires and explosions to boiler and machinery breakdown.
