Pooja Kumar is an associate in Chartwell's New York City office. She obtained her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2009 and her B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from Rutgers University in 2006, where she was selected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
While at Villanova, Pooja received the Dorothy Day Award for her dedicated pro bono work with Lawyering Together. She also placed in the Villanova Client Counseling Competition and served as Vice Magister of the Villanova chapter of Phi Delta Phi.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Pooja served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Jelin of the Complex Litigation Center in Philadelphia. She also worked as a law clerk for the a firm in New Jersey and interned with the law firm Titus & Co. Advocates in New Delhi, India.
Pooja is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of New Jersey. She is fluent in Hindi and Urdu and is proficient in Spanish, Punjabi and Gujarti.
