Ryan M. Scanlon is an Associate in Chartwell’s Scranton office. He is a 2005 graduate of Fairfield University (B.S.) and a 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D.). At Fairfield University, Ryan earned an undergraduate degree in Finance. After completing law school, Mr. Scanlon was a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Patricia Corbett of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas. During the course of his judicial clerkship, Ryan also worked as a law clerk with the firm Scartelli, Distasio, and Kowalski, P.C. Prior to joining Chartwell, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Lackawanna County for approximately three years. As an Assistant District Attorney, Ryan prosecuted numerous types of cases including burglaries, robberies, dui cases, felony drug cases and juvenile matters. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, he gained invaluable experience trying both jury trials and bench trials. Mr. Scanlon is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Mr. Scanlon’s practice concentrates on workers’ compensation defense and criminal defense.
