Alexander J. Palutis is a 1983 cum laude graduate of Georgetown University and a 1987 graduate of the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law. As a law clerk for The Honorable Genevieve Blatt of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania from 1987 to 1988, Mr. Palutis assisted in the preparation of numerous judicial opinions addressing a wide range of administrative matters, including many that have become part of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation lexicon. He joined The Chartwell Law Offices in February, 2005 after spending many years as a partner in the litigation firm, Post & Schell, where he handled a variety of insurance defense matters primarily for Pennsylvania manufacturers and healthcare facilities. He frequently presents and organizes seminars and other similar programs for employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators addressing the benefits of workplace safety and effective workers’ compensation risk management. He also is a regular lecturer for claims associations, trade groups and legal associations for whom he has presented strategies for effective the defense of workers’ compensation claims. Mr. Palutis has served as an adjunct Professor of Industrial Relations for the St. Francis College of Loreto, lecturing students in the areas of Employment Law and Workers’ Compensation.
