Thomas A. Strohmetz is a Partner in the Valley Forge Office. For over 15 years, Mr. Strohmetz has handled workers’ compensation cases for insurance carriers and self insured employers throughout Pennsylvania. He has handled cases involving death, multi-million dollar brain trauma, occupational disease, orthopedic cases, neurological injuries, psychiatric claims, etc. While admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Strohmetz specializes in the litigation of workers’ compensation claims in Pennsylvania. He has been successful in recovering over $1.5 million dollars for his clients in Supersedeas Fund Reimbursement since founding The Chartwell Law Offices, LLP in 2002. He has also saved his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars through creative and effective litigation practices.
After graduating cum laude from Widener University School of Law, Mr. Strohmetz began his career as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Vincent Cirillo of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. He then handled general liability, premises liability, and workers’ compensation claims for Harvey, Pennington Ltd.. Mr. Strohmetz continued his career at Weber, Gallagher, Simpson, Stapleton, Fires & Newby where he became a partner while focusing his practice on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation claims. In 2002, Mr. Strohmetz founded Chartwell with three attorneys in one office in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Mr. Strohmetz has seen the firm grow from the original four partners in 2002 to now fifty plus attorneys in nine offices throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida. Mr. Strohmetz is committed to obtaining the best possible results for his clients, whether that means settling a minor claim early in litigation to save the client’s time and expense or whether it means pursuing a matter to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Mr. Strohmetz has ensured the closure of over 550 claims for his clients just since Chartwell’s inception.
While grateful for the success of Chartwell and the client relationships he has, Mr. Strohmetz is most thankful for his time with family, especially his four children.
