Amiah A. Henry counsels and defends insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout New York. She handles all aspects of the litigation process from beginning to end, including mediations, depositions, and trials.

Before pivoting her career to the legal field, Amiah worked as a financial advisor, completing transactions in investment vehicles, debt financing, and mortgage underwriting.

While in law school, Amiah was a student practitioner in the Roger Williams University Business Start-Up Clinic, where she supported entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations with transactional legal work. She also gained administrative legal experience as an extern at the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, drafting memorandums and completing legal research for the State of Rhode Island.

She worked as a summer intern with the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping, where she conducted research under the instruction of the Antiguan Ambassador to the UN Ocean Conference. Amiah was awarded a summer diversity fellowship with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Sea Grant Program conducting research on environmental impacts particularly with the NFIP in Canarsie, Brooklyn.
