Kenneth M. Dubrow serves as Chartwell Law’s general counsel, overseeing the firm’s professional responsibility matters, including managing, monitoring and resolving potential conflicts of interest and risk management; counseling and advising firm attorneys regarding professional ethics, continuing legal education and litigation strategy; assisting in the establishment and implementation of firm employment policies and procedures; participating in firm litigation; and, counseling and assisting in the developing of firm policies and procedures, particularly those addressing compliance with professional obligations. His practice has included litigation on behalf of law firms and lawyers, commercial and class action litigation, as well as general liability defense.
Ken is known for his strategic and results-oriented approach to litigation in which he focuses upon clients' business and legal goals. He has comprehensive experience in commercial litigation, concentrating in the areas of shareholder, corporate, contract, real estate and insurance coverage disputes including indemnification matters. He has also represented lawyers and law firms in partnership agreements, withdrawals, resignations, and partnership disputes.
Ken has served as counsel for a number of corporate clients, including Home Depot U.S.A., Inc., J.C. Penney Corporation, Inc., Eckerd Corporation, Stroehmann Bakeries, L.C., Henkels & McCoy, Inc., S&A Restaurant Corp. (Bennigan’s/Steak & Ale), Metromedia Steakhouses Company, L.P., Outback Steakhouses, Drinker International (Chili’s), Burger King, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. He has also represented banks and private commercial lenders.
Additionally, Ken has served as lead and local counsel in a number of class actions in multiple jurisdictions and has handled actions instituted by the Federal Trade Commission. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Ken has been a frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia Bar Association Trial Advocacy Training Program (1988) and has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® list as seen in both Philadelphia magazine and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine (2008-2022).
