Abigail Hug brings a thoughtful approach to legal analysis and client service, with a strong foundation in regulatory compliance, risk management, and business operations.
Before joining Chartwell, Abigail gained hands-on legal experience conducting research and analysis across state and federal regulatory regimes, including consumer protection, employment law, data privacy, and pricing compliance. Her work included drafting internal compliance resources, assisting with contract review and revisions, and providing timely legal research to support ongoing business and vendor transactions. She also has experience analyzing administrative law issues and monitoring regulatory and case law developments affecting labor and employment matters, experience that supports her work advising employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters.
Abigail earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Arbitration Brief and participated in the Community Economic and Equity Development Clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance, with a minor in Legal Studies.
