Colleen Rose Canning brings over two decades of experience defending medical malpractice, premises liability, and other civil litigation matters. Her background includes private practice, insurance, healthcare risk management, and claims administration, providing clients with a well-rounded perspective on litigation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.

Throughout her career, Colleen has represented healthcare providers, allied professionals, hospitals, long-term care facilities, insurers, businesses, and faith-based organizations in a wide range of liability matters. She has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, appeals, and trial preparation. Her work includes analyzing medical and legal issues, assessing risk and potential liability, and developing effective strategies for managing exposure and resolving disputes.

In addition to her litigation background, Colleen has significant experience in healthcare risk management and claims. She has conducted risk assessments for major healthcare organizations, advised clients on patient safety and risk mitigation initiatives, developed policies and procedures, drafted white papers, and worked closely with healthcare leaders, insurers, and outside counsel to address claims and minimize potential liability. She has also managed coverage disputes involving life and health claims and served as a liaison between corporate stakeholders and legal counsel.

Colleen earned her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University, where she served on the Moot Court Executive Board. She received her B.A. in English from Kenyon College.
