

Carson Hinshaw focuses her practice on civil litigation, bringing a diverse background that encompasses real estate transactions, insurance disputes, and public defense work. She represents clients in a range of matters, applying a thoughtful and analytical approach to each stage of the legal process.
Carson has experience advising clients in a variety of real estate transactions, conducting due diligence that includes reviewing title and survey materials and analyzing zoning and environmental considerations. She works closely with investors to assess risk and guide transactions from initial review through closing.
In addition to her real estate experience, Carson has handled insurance-related matters involving coverage disputes and medical necessity appeals. In that role, she analyzed medical records and treatment plans, developed arguments supporting reimbursement claims, and worked with emerging technologies, including AI-driven processes, to improve efficiency and case outcomes.
Earlier in her career, Carson contributed to an expungement project with a public defender’s office, where she assisted in preparing and filing expungement petitions and maintaining accurate client records. She also gained foundational experience through legal internships focused on research, drafting, and case preparation.
Carson earned her J.D. from Charleston School of Law, where she served as Co-President of Law Democrats and participated in the Expungement Project. She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice Sciences from Illinois State University. She is admitted to practice in Illinois.
