Christopher P. Myers focuses his practice on civil litigation and insurance defense matters, representing clients in personal injury and property damage disputes involving construction, real estate, municipal, and public benefit corporation claims. He has substantial experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, court appearances, risk transfer analysis, and case evaluation, with an emphasis on efficient resolution and early disposition.
Christopher has extensive experience litigating matters arising under New York Labor Law, including claims involving Labor Law §§ 240(1), 241(6), and 200, as well as contractual and common law indemnification issues. He regularly conducts and defends depositions, prepares corporate representatives and project personnel for testimony, and appears in courts throughout New York City and surrounding counties.
In addition to his litigation experience, Christopher has a background in health law, disability compliance, and regulatory analysis. During law school and prior legal roles, he worked on matters involving healthcare law, special needs trusts, ADA compliance, and public policy issues affecting individuals with disabilities and their families.
Christopher earned his J.D., along with a Certificate in Health Law, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law. He earned his B.S. in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh.
He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
