Daniel J. Hahn has a broad background in corporate transactions, commercial agreements, real estate matters, and legal operations. He brings experience advising businesses on entity formation, governance, contract negotiation, and transactional matters, along with a strong foundation in legal research, compliance, and strategic problem-solving.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Daniel served in leadership roles overseeing teams of attorneys in high-volume legal operations environments. In that role, he coordinated large-scale projects, developed operational procedures, and acted as a liaison between clients and legal teams to translate complex technical information into actionable guidance. He also has experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and supporting clients with compliance, contract management, and e-discovery matters.
Earlier in his career, Daniel handled corporate and real estate matters, including advising founders and startups on business formation and governance issues, negotiating asset and stock purchase agreements, and managing transactional closings. He also gained experience counseling clients in municipal tax title, property, estate, and collections matters.
While attending law school, Daniel participated in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he counseled clients on trademark, copyright, patent, internet, and business law matters. He assisted with trademark filings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and drafted a range of transactional documents, including non-disclosure, independent contractor, and manufacturing agreements.
Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where he served as President of the Student Bar Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Poetry from SUNY Fredonia.
