Elizabeth Crandall focuses her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense matters, representing clients through all stages of litigation. She has experience handling a wide range of cases, including drafting and responding to discovery, preparing dispositive and discovery motions, conducting depositions, and assisting with trial preparation. Elizabeth regularly communicates with clients and insureds regarding case strategy and developments, and has appeared in court for conferences, hearings, and depositions.
Elizabeth’s background includes experience in both litigation and judicial settings, giving her a well-rounded perspective on case evaluation and strategy. She previously served as a judicial law clerk in the Civil Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, where she drafted statements of reasons and conducted legal research on a variety of motions, including summary judgment and reconsideration. She also gained early experience through roles involving mediation, client counseling, and legal research across multiple practice areas.
In addition to her litigation work, Elizabeth has experience with insurance coverage analysis, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. She is known for her strong research and writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage sophisticated matters efficiently.
Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she served as a Commentaries Editor for the Rutgers University Law Review and was Co-President of the Intellectual Property Law Society. She received her B.S. in Cell and Developmental Biology, with Honors in Research, from the University of Rochester.
She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York.
