Erin M. Russell-Whitson is a civil-litigation attorney whose practice includes automobile and trucking accidents, premises-liability claims, insurance-defense matters, first-party disputes, and wrongful-death cases. She represents clients ranging from large corporations to individuals and is involved at every stage of litigation, including drafting pleadings and discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing motions, negotiating resolutions, supporting matters through trial, and client reporting.
Erin brings a deeply practical background to her work, having progressed through roles as a law clerk, legal assistant, senior paralegal, and associate attorney before joining Chartwell. She has managed high-volume caseloads, conducted detailed case audits, overseen remote litigation teams, and implemented workflow systems designed to improve efficiency and client service. Her experience also includes negotiating payment plans, securing consent judgments, handling garnishment matters, and working closely with clients during sensitive disputes.
Earlier in her career, Erin conducted client interviews and research in an immigration clinic, assisting with U-Visa and VAWA petitions, experience that sharpened both her investigative skills and her client-centered approach. Fluent in Spanish, she is able to serve a broad range of clients.
Erin earned her J.D. and Graduate Degree in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola University New Orleans, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into multiple honor societies. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
