Kyle Lockwood focuses his practice on general liability and casualty defense, representing clients in civil litigation matters across a wide range of industries. His experience includes defending claims involving aviation, product liability, transportation, negligent security, and other high-exposure cases.
Before joining Chartwell, Kyle practiced with a civil litigation defense firm, where he handled matters and managed claims with a focus on efficiency and results. He has experience in all phases of litigation, including depositions, discovery, dispositive motion practice, mediation, and settlement negotiation. His prior experience also includes clerkships with defense firms and the Homicide Division of the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office.
Kyle earned his J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, where he was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers and received the Van Horn Law Group Pro Bono Award. During law school, he was actively involved in moot court and mock trial advocacy, earning recognition in multiple regional and national competitions. He holds a B.S. from the University of Central Florida and is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Outside the office, Kyle enjoys chess, running, ancient history, and theatre.
