Lindsay S. Bazile brings a strong background in judicial clerkship, legal research and writing, mediation, and public interest advocacy. Before joining Chartwell, she served as a judicial law clerk in the Criminal Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, where she conducted research, assisted with drafting opinions and jury instructions, prepared legal orders and sentencing memoranda, and managed motions and other case-related matters. Her clerkship also gave her experience working directly with attorneys, court personnel, and litigants throughout the judicial process.
While in law school, Lindsay developed substantial research experience as a library research assistant, helping students, faculty, and other legal researchers locate and use legal resources. She also gained practical experience in immigration matters through a public interest externship, working under a student practice rule on matters involving immigration, citizenship, asylum, and visa issues.
Lindsay was active in advocacy and student leadership during law school, serving as president of both the Black Law Students Association and Christian Law Students Association and as National Disability Advocate for the National Black Law Students Association. In that role, she advocated for individuals with disabilities, worked to raise awareness of disability rights issues, and coordinated initiatives involving law schools and regional representatives across the country.
Lindsay has completed more than 40 hours of training in child and divorce mediation and holds certifications in mediation. Her pro bono experience includes work involving economic and social justice, criminal defense, and prisoner advocacy. Conversational in Hatian Creole, she has also volunteered as a translator.
Lindsay earned her J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and her B.A. in English Literature from Southern Connecticut State University.
Outside of her legal practice, Lindsay enjoys traveling and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. She also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and holds an advanced brown belt in Krav Maga.
