Lindsay Barton’s practice centers on general liability and casualty defense, where she represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters. She is known for her strong research and writing skills, clear communication with clients, and ability to analyze complex fact patterns with precision.

During law school, Lindsay gained hands-on experience in several areas of civil practice, including housing, education, and personal injury law. She represented tenants facing eviction through Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services’ Housing Court Clinic and worked on equal justice initiatives as a Student Fellow with Charleston Legal Access. At her previous firm, Lindsay honed her litigation skills, drafting pleadings, reviewing medical records, and assisting in settlement negotiations—experiences that helped her develop a balanced perspective on advocacy and dispute resolution.

Lindsay earned her J.D., cum laude, from Charleston School of Law, where she was an editor for Resolved: Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution and served as an Academic Success Mentor. She also consistently earned Dean’s List recognition. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, in communications from Marist University.

Admitted to practice in South Carolina, Lindsay is a member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association (SCWLA) and the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.

Beyond her legal career, Lindsay is an avid Peloton rider and a passionate Buffalo Bills fan. She also enjoys time outdoors with her dachshund, Copper.
