Libbi O’Dean focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation, primarily handling matters involving commercial motor vehicle accidents and premises liability. She assists clients throughout all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing motions, and representing clients in hearings and other court proceedings.

Libbi litigates personal injury and insurance defense matters across Texas, taking an active role in developing case strategy and advancing clients’ objectives throughout the litigation process. She is skilled at managing complex case matters and contributing meaningfully to trial strategy and legal argument development. Following law school, Libbi also gained experience in criminal defense as a law clerk, where she supported case development through legal research, drafting, and extensive client interaction.

During law school, Libbi served as a judicial extern for the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, where she conducted legal research, reviewed appellate records, and assisted with drafting memoranda and opinions. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of North Texas–Dallas College of Law, where she received the CALI Award in Evidence Practicum and served as President of the Jewish Law Students Association and Vice President of the American Constitution Society.

Before pursuing a legal career, Libbi worked as a special education teacher, managing individualized education programs and supporting students across a range of grade levels. This background informs her patient and detail-oriented approach to her work and client service.

Libbi is admitted to practice in Texas and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Outside of her legal practice, Libbi enjoys needlepointing, reading nonfiction, and spending time with her family. She is also the author of Even an Astronaut, a children’s book published in 2021.
