Nicolle Barrantes focuses her practice on general liability defense, representing clients in a range of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, she handled first-party property insurance litigation, representing insurers and insureds in residential property matters throughout Florida. She has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation, including case strategy and discovery, motion practice, dispute resolution, and trial.

Nicolle brings a well-rounded perspective to property insurance disputes, having represented both insurers and policyholders throughout her career. She has handled matters in Florida’s small claims, county, and circuit courts and has worked closely with claims professionals, adjusters, engineers, contractors, expert witnesses, and other professionals throughout the litigation process.

Earlier in her career, Nicolle practiced corporate and transactional law, with experience involving mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, franchise matters, and regulatory compliance. She reviewed and drafted transaction documents, conducted due diligence, and advised on legal and regulatory issues affecting business transactions. This background gives her additional insight into the business considerations that can influence legal decisions and outcomes.

Nicolle is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and holds a Florida real estate license. She is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Nicolle earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Miami.
