With a background rooted in both litigation and public service, Paulina Fuhrmann brings a balanced, practical perspective to her work across a wide range of civil matters. A graduate of Southern Illinois University Simmons School of Law, Paulina’s early legal career has been marked by hands-on experience in trial advocacy, FOIA compliance, and judicial decision-making at both the state and federal levels. Prior to joining Chartwell, Paulina served as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer and legal graduate at the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she managed document disclosure obligations, conducted legal research, and supported active litigation. She also served as a 711 Intern for the same office, independently handling traffic and misdemeanor prosecutions in open court. Paulina’s background includes additional clerkship experience supporting litigation and federal judicial decision-making, including a judicial internship with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Paulina earned her J.D. from Southern Illinois University Simmons School of Law in 2024 and holds a B.S. in Political Science, cum laude, from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. During law school, she was involved in pro bono work with the Innocence Project for the State of Georgia and served as a Barbri Student Ambassador. The youngest of five siblings, Paulina values resilience and teamwork—qualities she brings to every client matter. Outside the office, she enjoys long-distance running and cheering on St. Louis Blues hockey.
