Patricia (“Tricia”) Hamilton is an experienced litigator with more than 17 years of practice, handling a broad range of insurance defense, general liability, and civil litigation matters. Licensed in both Tennessee and Florida, Tricia brings a wealth of experience shaped by nearly two decades of advocacy in both state and federal courts
Her insurance defense work includes managing heavy caseloads for corporate and individual clients, developing defense strategies, preparing dispositive motions, participating in settlement negotiations, and defending complex claims through trial. Tricia is known for her composure under pressure and her ability to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
In addition to her defense practice, Tricia spent a decade in family law, where she provided clients with personalized attention, advocated for their interests, and guided them through the intricacies of the family court system. Throughout her career, Tricia developed a strong understanding of educational and disability rights issues. Her experience includes advocating for children with special needs and litigating cases involving alleged violations of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and IEP compliance—an area that has informed her deep appreciation for client-focused, compassionate representation.
In her years of practice, Tricia has been recognized as a collaborative team leader with a positive, solutions-oriented approach. She is experienced in administrative law, including wage disputes, anti-discrimination claims, and related appeals.
Tricia earned her J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she was an Associate Editor of the International Law & Management Review. She holds a B.A. in English, also from BYU, with minors in Spanish and Teaching English as a Second Language.
