Tyler Zentz focuses his practice on general liability matters, drawing on a diverse legal background that includes insurance defense and personal injury litigation as well as experience advising individuals and families in private practice. His earlier litigation work gave him a strong foundation in evaluating risk and understanding the many considerations that can influence the course of a matter.

Before joining Chartwell, Tyler owned and operated his own law practice, where he counseled clients on estate planning, probate administration, elder law, and Medicaid planning matters. His work included preparing wills and trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives, as well as guiding clients through the probate process. Earlier in his career, Tyler practiced with two private firms and worked with Legal Aid of Western Missouri.

Tyler is known for his straightforward, client-focused approach to practicing law. He believes in understanding what matters most to each client and providing advice tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

Tyler earned both his J.D. and B.A. in History from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

A Kansas City-area native, Tyler lives in the Waldo neighborhood. When he’s not working, you can likely find him enjoying all that Waldo has to offer and spending time with his dog, Huron.
