The Position

Chartwell Law is seeking an Associate for its New York Workers' Compensation Practice Group located in the Financial District area of Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with insurance coverage experience in our insurance coverage practice group.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in the State of New York
• 1-5 years of litigation experience (*Experience in insurance litigation is a plus)
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• File review and settlement analysis
• Perform extensive legal research and drafting memos and appeals
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
• Draft pleadings and engage in discovery
• Commottment to respond promptly to all e-mail and phone inquiries
