Chartwell Law continues to expand its reach with the addition of a new partner, John T. Huskin, Jr., and the opening of its first office in Maryland. The new office, located in Baltimore, will focus on handling all aspects of workers’ compensation defense as well as employment law and general liability matters. This is the firm’s 19th office spread among eight states including some of the country’s most litigious states.
John T. Huskin, Jr. will lead the efforts in the firm’s Baltimore office and will be joined by Chartwell Law partner Steve R. Tregea, associates Jerome A. Flanagan and Shahenaz Y. Yates. Huskin joins Chartwell Law from the law firm of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer, where he concentrated his practice on workers’ compensation and employment law. “I think there is a great benefit to the client in having one firm handle work in multiple states. We get to know our clients better, and they can rely on consistent results, reporting and service standards across a wide portion of the country” notes Huskin.
The addition of the Baltimore office coincides with Chartwell Law’s expansion plans. Clifford A. Goldstein, Chartwell Law’s CEO, says “We are thrilled that John is joining our team. As we continue develop and extend our client base on a national level, we hope to continue to add solid litigators who share our approach. Our growth has been due in large part to having a good group of hardworking and decent people who strive to remain humble; work daily at being accessible and responsive to our clients; and who genuinely enjoy working together.”
