Chartwell Law is proud to announce that founding partner Charles (“Chuck”) Barreras was selected a 2023 Veterans in Business Honoree by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The “Veteran in Business” award is a testament to Chuck’s commitment, leadership, and impact on our firm and the veteran community. Chuck served with distinction in the Army Reserves for over a decade, as both an enlisted soldier in an aviation unit and a Commissioned Officer in the Civil Affairs branch. Following his service, which included a deployment to Haiti as part of Operation Restore/Maintain Democracy in 1994-1995, Chuck focused on his legal career. Over the last two decades, in addition to fiercely advocating for his clients, Chuck has served as a member of Chartwell’s Administrative Committee, where he has helped guide the firm through dramatic growth from its founding as a workers’ compensation boutique to a full-service national law firm. The Chartwell Law team is grateful for his dedication and friendship.
Chuck was officially recognized at the “Veterans in Business” award ceremony and breakfast on November 9, 2023, in Philadelphia. The event gathered together veterans from various businesses and industries to celebrate their achievements and contributions to the business community. Profiles of the honorees will be published in a November 10, 2023 special edition issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal.
