(Philadelphia, PA) — Chartwell Law is pleased to announce that Kathleen (“Katie”) Kugler has joined the firm’s Boston office as a Partner, further strengthening its rapidly growing litigation practice and deepening its bench of experienced trial attorneys across the Northeast.

Katie brings nearly a decade of frontline trial and litigation experience, with a particular focus on Connecticut litigation. Known for her skill in the courtroom and her steady guidance throughout the life of a case, she has tried matters before juries and judges, conducted binding and non-binding arbitrations, led discovery, and routinely argued pre-trial and dispositive motions. Her arrival expands Chartwell’s capacity to support insurers, businesses, and professionals facing sophisticated general liability and casualty claims.

“Katie’s ability to take on challenging cases aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients,” said Boston Partner David Brosnihan. “As Chartwell continues to grow nationally, we are investing in attorneys who bring both talent and practical judgment to trial-focused litigation. Katie exemplifies that balance.”

Before entering private practice, Katie gained valuable perspective from several corners of the justice system, including work alongside prosecutors, judges, and court personnel. This early foundation strengthened her understanding of case dynamics, strategy, and the importance of clear communication—qualities that have become hallmarks of her approach to client service.

Katie earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, her B.S. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Hartford.
