With a track record shaped by managing high-volume workers’ compensation matters across North Carolina, Alisha Harris offers clients both depth and discernment in litigation. She guides employers, insurers, and TPAs through the full lifecycle of a claim and is known for her ability to identify key leverage points and drive cases toward well-reasoned resolutions.
Before joining Chartwell, Alisha practiced with two prominent North Carolina defense firms, where she handled a diverse range of workers’ compensation cases involving complex injuries and significant financial exposure. She regularly drafted pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conducted depositions; prepared witnesses; negotiated settlements; and delivered insightful recommendations aimed at reducing organizational risk.
Her early legal experience includes a judicial internship with the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and litigation-focused roles in both private practice and with Duke Energy Corporation, where she developed a strong foundation in risk management, regulatory compliance, procedural analysis, and dispute resolution.
In addition to her litigation work, Alisha is committed to public service. During her time as a volunteer attorney with the Council for Children’s Rights, she advocated for vulnerable youth in abuse and neglect matters, analyzing multidisciplinary records and recommending interventions designed to promote safety and long-term well-being.
Alisha earned her J.D. from Elon University School of Law, where she was recognized as a Leadership Fellow, and later completed her M.B.A. through Elon’s Martha & Spencer Love School of Business. She holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
