Caitlin M. Sullivan specializes in workers’ compensation defense and focuses her practice on representing insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators.

Caitlin has experience handling cases involving acute and repetitive trauma, return-to-work issues, and labor market surveys. She has frequently represented hospitals and medical facilities, as well as construction companies and large manufacturers. Caitlin assists clients with developing claim-reduction strategies and is committed to limiting her clients’ exposure throughout the claims process. She has recovered significant funds for her clients from the Supersedeas Fund and has experience conducting thorough investigations, including criminal background and social media searches. She is committed to maintaining open and consistent communication with her clients to ensure unified case handling.

Prior to joining Chartwell, Caitlin served as a law clerk for the Honorable Wallace H. Bateman of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She also worked as a law clerk for a regional New Jersey law firm, where she supported the trial and insurance defense practice groups.

Caitlin remains active in charitable initiatives throughout the Philadelphia community. She is a dedicated volunteer at the Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, where she previously served as an ESL instructor and assisted immigrants in obtaining U.S. citizenship. As a former board member, she continues to support the organization’s mission to educate and serve Philadelphia’s immigrant population.

Caitlin is a member of the Villanova Law J. Willard O’Brien American Inn of Court and the Philadelphia Bar Association. She has demonstrated leadership as Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section in 2024 and has contributed to publications such as the Philadelphia Bar Reporter.

While attending Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Caitlin served as a certified legal intern in the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic, where she provided pro bono legal services in workers’ compensation and employment law.

In her free time, Caitlin enjoys going to the shore in Avalon, New Jersey, and spending time with her husband and three children.
