Jay Hamilton handles insurance defense matters throughout Florida. He has built a practice consisting mainly of insurance litigation. His experience includes first party-property, first and third-party personal injury, and insurance coverage matters from pre-suit investigation through trial. He has also advocated for clients in intellectual property disputes, business litigation, and appeals.
Jay pursues positive outcomes in litigation while being acutely cost-effective. This approach allows him to participate in the Chartwell ethos of delivering quality legal representation economically.
While in law school, Jay served as a student advocate at the Ave Maria Human Trafficking clinic by guiding individuals through the immigration process. Jay also worked for a national non-profit, the First Amendment focused Thomas More Society in Chicago. He later worked as an extern at a Fort Myers firm litigating contract and construction defect disputes.
